Pizza Bagels

Ingredients

  • 1 Bag of Plain Bagels There are 4 Bagels In Each Bag
  • 1 1/2 Cups Pizza Sauce Homemade or Store Bought
  • 1 Bag of Shredded Mozarella Cheese or Any Cheese Of Your Choice 8 oz
  • 2 Packages Hormel Pepperoni There Are Two Pouches In Each Package 1.75 oz Each Package

Toppings: ( Optional )

  • Dried or Chopped Fresh Basil
  • Crushed Red Chili Peppers
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese

Instructions

  • Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Take the bagels out of the bag and separate the bagel halves.

  • Place the bagels in your bread toaster with the insides facing outwards. Lightly toast them to prevent them from getting soggy later when you add the pizza sauce.
  • After toasting your bagels place them onto a cutting board facing up.
  • Warm the pizza sauce in the microwave for 1 minute. Then spead some of the pizza sauce onto the bagel halves.
  • Sprinkle some grated mozarella cheese or any cheese of your choice over the top of the pizza sauce.
  • Add the pepperoni slices.
  • Add more cheese if you would like or you can skip this step.
  • Transfer the bagels to a baking tray lined with aluminum foil.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
  • Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
  • Top with your choice : Dried or Fresh Chopped Basil, Crushed Red Pepper, Grated Parmesan Cheese

Notes

You may need to buy 2 bags of shredded cheese if you want to add additional cheese after you have placed the pepperoni onto your bagels. If you do not plan to add additional cheese on top of the pepperoni slices then one bag of cheese should be enough.
