Oven Baked Lobster Tails
Ingredients
- 2 Lobster Tails
- A round of salt
- 3 Tablespoons Butter Melted
- Olive Oil Cooking Spray
- Ground Paprika or Seafood Seasoning
For dipping:
- Fresh Squeezed Lemons
- Melted Butter
Instructions
- Pre-heat the oven at 375 degrees.
- Place a large bowl in the sink and fill it with some cold water. Then add a round of salt. Wash the lobster tails in the salted water. Then give the lobster tails a quick rinse.
- Use a kitchen knife to cut a slit right down the center of the back of the lobster tail. Use your hands to pull the lobster meat through the slit to have the lobster meat lay on top of the shell.
- Once the meat is laying on top of the shell use a knife to cut a slit down the center of the lobster meat.
- Place the lobster tails on a plate and brush the melted butter over the lobster meat. Then sprinkle on some paprika or seafood seasoning. If you are going to use seafood seasoning then only give it a light sprinkle as it can be a bit salty.
- Spray the lobster meat with the cooking olive oil spray.
- Line a baking tray with aluminum foil. Spray the lined baking tray with the cooking spray. Then place the lobster tails on the baking tray and transfer the tray to the pre-heated oven.
- Check on the lobster tails after baking them for 20 minutes. Remove the lobster tails from the oven once they are no longer opaque. If they are still opaque continue baking them for another 10 to 15 minutes.
- Serve with a side of fresh squeezed yellow lemon juice and some melted butter for dipping. Yellow lemons are not always available so in that case they can be replaced with limes.
