Turkey Marinade Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Sticks of butter
  • 1 Teaspoon Poultry Seasoning
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • Olive Oil Spray or Liquid Olive Oil

Instructions
 

  • Remove the neck and the bag of giblets inside of the body cavity. Also check the neck cavity and remove anything that is in there as well.
  • Put a bowl big enough to hold the turkey and place it in the sink. Then place the turkey into the bowl. Pour some salt over the turkey and wash the turkey with the salted water. Flip the turkey over and wash the other side as well. Pour some salt into the cavity and wash the insides of the cavity . Rinse the turkey inside and out. Then pat dry the turkey with some paper towels.
  • In a bowl melt the butter. Add in the poultry seasoning, garlic salt and black pepper. Stir to combine. Spoon the melted butter onto the skin of the turkey. Also spoon some of the melted butter mixture inside the body cavity. Use your hands to rub the butter mixture onto the skin of the turkey. Be sure to get some of the butter mixture under the skin as well.
  • Marinate for 2 to 3 days before cooking the turkey.
  • Before placing the turkey into the oven be sure to spray the turkey with an Olive Oil Cooking Spray or you can use a liquid Olive Oil and just rub it onto the turkey.
