Also add in the minced Thai chilis and 1/2 a teaspoon of Ground Fresh Chili Paste . Adding the ground fresh chili paste is optional. I like to add it for some color and additional heat.
Stir to combine. You can stop here or go on to the next step which is optional .
Add a handful of pickled daikons & carrots (optional) . Stir to combine.
Cover and let sit on the counter or in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving to allow all the flavors to meld.
Notes
If you do not have any fresh limes on hand you can substitute with white vinegar or rice vinegar. If any substitutions are made then you will need to slightly adjust the recipe by perhaps adding in more sugar, fish sauce, or water.
